If you have baby socks, it's reasonable to assume you have baby diapers which makes more sense to use than the kid's foot cover
Even homeless people have access to feminine hygiene and anti hygiene products (shelters, needle exchanges, planned parenthood). Unless you're in one of those scary houses in the woods with neighbors 2 hours away... that is not the hood so most likely SOMEONE has a pad or tampon

Have you ever pondered the soaking strength of baby socks? Probably not because they don't tend to be used for walking since the kid can't walk yet. So... these socks are not super thick, maybe enough for winter but not redrum
