#NJ #COVID19 NJ finally released its interim TTS guidance. Its a disaster. They add so many extra hoops to jump through, many districts will tune it out. They still have not accepted 5 day quarantine despite the fact the CDC has said its for schools, too

First, schools need access to testing, but the state wants them to perform the testing ONSITE. They also lie about the vaccine reducing the spread of Covid19. This has been thoroughly debunked with Omicron.
Second, its only good for in school transmission. WTF?
Third, you have to agree to let THEM test your child. You cant have their pediatrician or any other source do it.
Fourth, they want a CLIA waiver for in school testing, essentially turning schools into testing facilities.
Fifth, all tests will be reported, prolonging this.
Sixth, Not applicable if you're exposed outside of class. Sorry about your luck.
Seventh, the bonus: If part of TTS, your kid has to wear a mask indoors *AND OUTDOORS* at all times at school for the entire time in TTS, even if negative.
Eighth, if you're in extracurriculars, you're basically screwed while in TTS. You're treated as a Leper.
Ninth, You must be tested immediately, *AND* every other day. CDC says twice. NJ wants you to test on day 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10!!!! This is absolutely ABSURD.
Tenth, More limitations. Shouldn't be used with "mixed students".
Eleventh, Giving schools discretion on who could qualify and who couldn't (limited exposure vs "exposure all week). Ripe for abuse
Twelvth, No singing! No wind instruments! Again, treated like a leper.
Thirteenth, Schools have to report antigen negatives. Nowhere is this reported to the public. Only Antigen positives have ever been reported, this is a change.
In Summary, this document is trash. Its exceedingly cumbersome (likely by design) to a) make it harder for unvaxxed to stay and b) make schools frown at implementing this. It only hurts kids, and thats the worst part of it
