1. This week started with @bedhuntersab) releasing a memo showing due to a critical staff shortage, Cold Lake’s 14,000 residents would largely have no ER doctors on site.

2. We also saw 550 times EMS services were delayed, dropped, or unavailable across Alberta!

3. Despite receiving over 15,000,000 rapid tests from the Federal Gov’t, there’s ZERO rapid tests available at pharmacies

4. Alberta Teachers were secretly removed from the AHS "essential worker" list JUST before @CMOH_Alberta cancelled tests for "non-essential” workers (@GCarabine)

5. Despite the past ability to run 22,000 PCR tests/day, AHS was told to limit tests to 12,000/day

6. During a press conference on Monday, Dr. Hinshaw said she DID NOT have the legal authority to introduce public health measures related to COVID-19.

Health law experts dispute this, suggesting that either Hinshaw doesn’t understand her role or she is lying 🤔

Anti-Kenney UCP MLA Leela Aheer’s entire riding board was voted out this week.

This signals a Kenney-directed takeover of her board which may see Ms. Aheer NOT get the nomination to run as a candidate in the 2023 election.

12. Aspiring UCP leader Brian Jean sounds alarms on Kenney’s attempt to switch the leadership review from in-person to digital

He referenced that during his election, 200 votes (10%) suddenly came from fake email accounts; similar to the 2017 UCP Leadership vote

13. AHS laid off 334 laundry workers at hospitals across Alberta and replacing them with K-Bro, a privatized service, as per recommendations of Kenney’s Blue Ribbon Panel.

14. Alberta's Child & Youth Advocate demanded the UCP to explain how they’re implementing the recommendations made by his office before a committee of MLAs.

15. Despite Kenney promising to revitalize Calgary’s downtown, the vacancy rate officially hit 33.2%z.

This is the first time in 30 years of reporting by CBRE that a major Canadian metropolitan centre has hit this troubling milestone!
