10 years ago today, I was in court against #Carillion & they admitted that:
1. they blacklisted me
2. their managers provided the information on my files
3. the reason was for my union activities
4. the reason was for my H&S activities
5. that the #blacklist caused me a detriment

My legal team were David Renton @dkrenton & @owens_declan. Later joined by @JohnHendyQC.
My #blacklisting test case against #Carillion & UK gov went to the European Court of Human Rights.
Lawyers who get politics, as well as the law, are hide to find. I can’t thank them enough ✊

Over the years, #blacklisted workers secured new legislation, a High Court trial, new European regs, new public procurement protocols, a select committee investigation into #blacklisting & exposing the role of #spycops. Proud to have stood alongside these working class heroes.

Alongside the investigative journalist (and my good friend) @philchamberlain - we wrote @blacklistedbook which has been quoted in the Westminter & Holyrood parliaments, at the @ILO and in the #spycops public inquiry.

Despite new laws, court cases & select committee investigations, #blacklisting by big business has never gone away. Union reps continue to be sacked & refused work for standing up for workers rights. Rank & file action has seen 1000s walking out in solidarity ✊✊
@unitetheunion

In the past 2 General Elections, the #Labour manifesto pledged a full public inquiry into #blacklisting. Thank you for your solidarity @jeremycorbyn @johnmcdonnellMP

#Blacklisted workers are interested to hear if the current Labour leadership continue to support this commitment?

Our current fight against the blacklist started in Manchester over 15 yrs ago, when sparks took action on major construction projects where firms repeatedly victimised union members. To their eternal shame, union officials colluded with bosses in #blacklisting those electricians.

The fight to expose the human rights scandal orchestrated by senior executives of multinational companies, with the active involvement of the UK’s political policing #spycops units & the collusion of some renegade union officials still continues.
Workers’ Rights = Human Rights ✊
