It appears he made promises to UCP supporters in rural Alberta, knowing it may cost the institution key staff and ability to fully operate.

An ER doctor said there’s “clearly” a connection between the UCP lifting public health measures + new COVID-19 outbreaks

ER wait times for kids at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in #YEG are in the midst of an “unprecedented, unsustainable situation”

18. The health care crisis in Red Deer continued this week after some patients needing general surgeries were moved from Red Deer Hospital to other central Alberta facilities, #YEG or #YYC.
This comes just a week after 14-ambulances backed up the parking lot

20. Alberta is also at a crisis in its EMS Services
This includes dropped shifts, downgrades and red alerts becoming the norm for ambulance services across Albertan under Kenney.
Critics are asking for more staff & training; the UCP has offered new ambulances.

21. Rural EMS service has deteriorated so horribly under the UCP, many Albertans are forced to have a “Plan B” in case ambulances don’t arrive promptly
Citizens are instead promoting the need for more publically available Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

Despite record low unemployment rates across Canada under Trudeau (5.2%), Kenney’s Alberta was still WAY above this at 5.9%
Alberta also had the 2 WORST performing major cities in Canada:
Calgary (7.2%)
Edmonton (6.9%)
