The EU has taken several decisions on air transport this week - and failed to bring it on track for 1.5 degrees.
We need pressure to get the EU to do more!

IATA targets for substituting even 5-10% fossil kerosene have NEVER been met since they started to set targets in 2008!

But...even if fuel substitution targets were met, using a “Sustainable Aviation Fund”, it’s a massive climate injustice to use public funds to decarbonise the most unequal form of transport, the industry should pay!

Making fuel from waste & exhaust gas as the EU proposes is SO expensive the ✈️ industry would have to rely on even more subsidies – tax money – to cover production costs & alternative jet fuels will won’t eliminate the total climate impact of flights.
