1. Since Smith said “no” to masks in schools; over 75% of #YEG 213 schools hit an illness absenteeism rate triggering AHS to investigate infectious disease outbreaks.

Over 160 schools had 10% of students out of class; over 20,000 Edmonton students were absent!

2. When asked for how she would help with the shocking outbreaks. education minister Adriana LaGrange said she will “not intervene”; and instead offered an opinion that “these situations happen” 😳

3. AHS officials said an early surge in respiratory illnesses has pushed the Stollery Children’s Hospital to its capacity and #YEG will get worse.

Wait times for the Stollery has now jumped 400% from just under 4 hours to over 17 hours!

Smith said the UCP is now treating COVID as an “endemic” so “no special measures are planned to prevent illness.”

LaGrange blamed masks for “causing the mental health concerns we’re seeing in kids” and she never heard any “complaints from parents”

8. 🤥. Since 2012, Danielle Smith claimed she is of indigenous heritage.

Unfortunately, researchers challenged her claim and discovered it’s 100% false!

When asked for a response, Smith’s office said “she didn’t know” and she “remains proud of her heritage”

All of Alberta’s treaty chiefs have come together to oppose Premier Danielle Smith’s proposed sovereignty act.

The chiefs of Treaties 6, 7, and 8 — all the province’s treaties — say in a statement that it’s offensive and they reject it outright!

10. Danielle Smith fired the ENTIRE AHS board this week; replacing the 11-member board with Dr. John Cowell who served as administrator in the Alison Redford era

They’re opposed to the creation of an Alberta provincial police (APP) service, ordered by Smith.

It’s noted an APP will cost Albertans $550M in transition costs and $179M/yr extra to operate.

13. Rural politicians are also speaking AGAINST Smith’s APP and demanding Albertans vote on the matter

Rural leaders want the UCP to actually work with the RCMP on crime reduction, instead of spending years and hundreds of millions of dollars.

14. UCP MLA Dale Nally is travelling to Texas to promote Alberta as a “destination of choice” for cryptocurrency and to “explore new opportunities in this growing sector.”

Bitcoin dropped over 25% this week.

The cost for the 2-days trip is $12,500.

A new poll by incredible pollster @planetjanetyyc shows of moderate voters (42% of all Alberta voters) and Swing Voters (11%)! was SHOCKING:

Support for Moderates:
NDP: 52%
UCP: 20%

UCP: 18%
