We are on hand at the Rules Committee meeting today! Great to see Senator Erdman in his Chair position πŸ’― Looking forward to some great testimony to eliminate "Present Not Voting" and for written votes to be recorded for transparency πŸ‘ #neleg

Senator Wendy Deboer, with a big DaVinci's pop on the desk. Classy!! She's lookin alive and ready to tackle today 🀠

Interesting, as Senator Megan Hunt is introducing a rule to strike the opening prayer, she's late to being called to testify. Always professional πŸ‘ #wheresmegan ??

Senator @NebraskaMegan Hunt shows up unprepared, without an agenda even, and is confused by what she's testifying on. #sad Why doesn't Senator Hunt understand that it's "freedom of religion", not "freedom from religion" πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€‘ #neleg

Great Patriots William Feely, Stephanie Johnson, & George Boll all testify in support of opening prayer! Their coherent & respectful statements highlight the stark contrast between selfish, secular humanism and those who believe in a power greater than themselves. Wow! Powerful

@NebraskaMegan is back in the seat for testimony speaking about 1 of her 1700 rules presented 😴😴😴 There's no doubt, she loves hearing herself talk! #neleg

The Clerk of the Legislature giving testimony that the legislature is not prepared for an immediate change pertaining to Rule 3, Sec. 14, in regards to Senator Conrad's, Day's, and Hunt's rules change. #NEleg

A gentleman open carrying just gave testimony. Senators @senatormachaela and @NebraskaMegan just spontaneously combusted!! πŸ—―

Interesting as "Firearms in Legislative spaces for military and law enforcement personnel only" is listed later on the rules change proposal... #NEleg

Strong testimony from several to eliminate present not voting! People are sick and tired of the spineless and feckless dereliction of duty by state senators! Now, more than ever, we need courageous leadership πŸ‘

Speaker John Arch just said approximately 1100 bills have been "requested to draft" this year..
Relevant as Sen. Ben Hansen puts forth rules change on Bill Limitation, where Sen's would be limited to 12 bills per session - cutting things in half! Many states follow a limit

Senator Halloran just testified on Written Votes being recorded.
It simply comes down to transparency and common sense! Why would you want to hide or shield your vote? Afraid of accountability from constituents??
We The People deserve to know how our elected officials are voting!

Senator Erdman saying what we all know... there's no such thing as non partisan! #neleg

It is now 5:30 CT here and we are not even halfway done. It has become evident that a tactic of the minority party is to slow things down. They have added superfluous items, details, & rules changes. We hope this isn't the way they'll legislate but we aren't getting our hopes up!

Senator Conrad has introduced herself the same way, "from the fightin 46th" (46th district), 46 times times today...
For those keeping track at home, that's about as many times as @janekleeb thinks of us each day 😁😘 #neleg

We have finally reached the halfway point for rules proposals! Though, many testifiers have left for the day, so we imagine we may be much further than halfway in time.
There has been a lot of interest, input, and investment from the second house, the people's house, today!!

A number of extremely left leaning non profits have testified in support of @NebraskaMegan Hunt's redistricting rule, pertaining to striking the current redistricting rules and adding new redistricting rules...
Is someone salty πŸ€”

Senator John @Cavanaugh4NE just finished up testifying for the first time today.
And now, recess!! After we come back, we will hear from yet again.... yep... you guessed it... Senator Conrad, @CavanaughforLeg , and the multimillionaire star child... @NebraskaMegan πŸ’« πŸ™„

An important note from this evening, speaking with one gentleman from Norfolk who has testified a few times today, he points out that the only people left in the hearing room are "the grassroots" on the conservative side and the lobbyists... #NEleg

This is worth pointing out. Often, the establishment has discounted the commitment to the cause of grassroots Patriots throughout this state. Clearly, as was noticed, conservatives from all across Nebraska understand how important our current fight is & theyre not going anywhere!

Senator Conrad is now promulgating 'systemic racism' issues to the rules committee..
She calls for racial impact statements for each bill and for a reference committee to consider a racial impact study...

One has to wonder how they would even obtain this for every bill...

What we've all been waiting for - will pets be allowed in offices?! While Nebraskans struggle through a plethora of issues, @NebraskaMegan presents this to the rules committee πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ but hey, when you're from a multi million dollar family, your problems are different from most!

Next rule, @NebraskaMegan says she presents the open door rule when present in office solely to "be a pest". Those were her exact words.. This just shows how serious she must take this and we're not sure how her senate colleagues can take her seriously at all!

Just now, @senatormachaela @CavanaughforLeg gives testimony about not allowing firearms in legislative spaces.. Nebraska is a pro Second Ammendment state, for both Republicans and Democrats. The testimony that followed was, well, see below 😳

A lady named Judy says, "If you want, we can bring guns, the crazy other side can bring guns." A disrespectful testimony from the fear mongering left.. The rules comm. was visibly shocked by what was exhibited here.
Thankfully level heads prevailed & the meeting continued #NEleg

The rules committee has now been hearing testimony for 7 hours! As we wrap up our coverage here today, we'd like to again recognize Senator Erdman and thank him for the great job he's done as chair of this Committee πŸ’―πŸ’ͺ #NEleg

It was a big day at the Capitol, and it was our pleasure to bring you live updates, with #truth and #transparency always at the forefront! Remember, "The Salvation of the State is Watchfulness in the Citizen."
