Here's the problem.
The vast majority of things she said that have gotten her into hot water took place after she left radio and during her leadership race...

Even with the Ethics Commissioner ruling that Smith broke the law & her behaviour represented a fundamental threat to democracy, did Smith apologize?
She acknowledged the mistake but no apology. She thought she was doing things right.

Which brings us to the truly wild part of this thread...
As much as Smith lies, she's only apologized (kinda) for two of these things, and this is only a light sampling.
So even when Smith is talking about taking responsibility, she's still lying.
