1) HEY, I found another Clermont! Lets break down his argument tactics over a generic topic, like say #NetNeutrality
2) First off, note the fear. "The internet providers were overwhelmingly for the repeal of net neutrality" evoking a boogeyman, internet providers. The second tactic is trying to create a false consensus. Really? 83-87% of the American people?
3) A false consensus is another extremely dishonest tactic of the left to make people THINK that if you are against a liberal in a debate, that you stand against some overwhelming majority. Ignoring the fact that if this were true, that a repeal of net neutrality wouldn't happen
4) Part of how they do this is cherry picking polls, and ignoring others. The 83% poll he quotes stands in direct contrast to one that only shows 52% support and dropping rapidly. cnbc.com/2017/11/28/net…

6) The next tactic he engaged in is to cherry pick and only respond to kneejerk initial arguments rather than the entirety of the argument, as so

9) The next tactic? He pretends that you aren't making an argument, that you aren't presenting any counterpoints.
10) "I'm trying to debate you in an organized respectful way but you refused to" No you're not. We WERE debating, you were ignoring the majority of my arguments, and then you strawmanned my argument
11) Like so. If you have to strawman my argument, you can't debate my actual argument.

12) See, I went after his argument after I asked him to present it, and pointed out the fact that he was supporting net neutrality in fear of a boogeyman doomsday scenario for which there was no evidence it was occurring.
13) Which he admitted to in response.
14) So, let's recap here: He's trying to use Fear and a False Consensus to bludgeon people into agreement. I'm not afraid and I can point to polls that run counter to his false consensus. He admits my point that none of the doomsday scenarios he wants to prevent are a guarantee
15) Yet when I stated that the opposite of said doomsday scenarios were occurring, an argument he ignored then pretended like I never made it, he claims that I'm not debating honestly and in an organized fashion. I made the point here
16) And now he's trying to drag me into a one on one debate, and keeps demanding I DM him!
17) I'm not falling into that little trap. No, this is a public debate, specifically because I want mister rose for a name to be exposed as the bullying dishonest propagandist that he is. And now, he's blocked.

Basically, the entire Khashoggi story was hyped up by Turkey claiming that a recording of Khashoggi's murder in the embassy was caught on his apple watch and transmitted to his iphone that his girlfriend waiting outside had. This was accentuated by the MSM hyping up his watch.
Then, of course, I and several other people pointed out that Turkey's networks weren't compatible with the model of apple watch. Literally, it couldn't connect to Turkish cell networks. Suddenly, it became, "Oh, experts are skeptical, but we still totally know the Saudis did it."

Most of what I write isn't understood by most of the people who read it.

That's fine. I don't actually like most of the people who read my stuff. They're reactionary in the most reflexive and knee jerk sense, they're stubborn in ignorance, and they're far too trusting.
This isn't for them.
I can't even say who this is for because I don't know who's going to understand what I'm writing, and if they do then it would be unlikely and unwise of them to respond saying they do. That's fine. I think I truly understand where Thomas is coming from now. I'm doing this for me.

There’s no grievances to air.

To air a grievance implies it hasn’t already been made known.

The complaints have been spoken, repeatedly. The problem isn’t that they aren’t being spoken. It’s that they aren’t being listened to.
This is not an age of heroes.

This is not an age of legends.

There does not exist a desire to engage in acts of valor and endurance. The concept of true valor and endurance does not exist, it is not conceivable anymore.
There are no secret plans. There are no last minute hopes. There is no superhuman everyman to swoop in and avert disaster.

The damage is already being done. All that can happen is stemming the bleeding.
