Just spent my Friday night creating a PDF scut sheet if anyone is wondering how much of a party animal I am.
It’s a PDF document that has room for 4 patients per page. Here is a sample of what part of it looks like.
It is my own version of the one available on MedFools.com but formatted so that I can easily import it into Notability on my iPad and not notes down when I’m pre-rounding and looking up info on a computer.
And since Notability syncs across devices, it will sync to my iPhone. So when I go to a patient’s room I could just pull out my phone and look at the notes I took earlier or add to it.
When I need to round with the case managers, RNs, PT, etc, I can just pull out the iPad and use the large keyboard to add notes.
This is all theoretical at this point. Will try it out for the first time tomorrow. Figure the weekend will be a good time to debut a new and digital method of note taking.

It was announced that Trump has been prescribed dexamethasone, a corticosteroid medication that has been recommended for use for hospitalized patents with severe and critically ill patients. #medtwitter
One of the most important ideas we can teach or pass along is the humility to accept and admit we were wrong.
Nothing is further from the spirit of evidence-based medicine than becoming so entrenched in our ways that we refuse to consider new data.
Just watched the podcast by @ZDoggMD where he interviews @VPrasadMDMPH about schools re opening. Link:
A few personal takeaways I had while listening:
1) Let’s figure out our destination and our goals. If we can identify a shared goal, we can then start the give-and-take about how to get there ideologically, and then more importantly, practically.
This is something to consider as our country continues its policy of separating families and traumatizing innocent children. #meded#childhoodtrauma#healthcare#health
“Exposure to trauma during childhood can dramatically increase people’s risk for 7 out of 10 of the leading causes of death in the U.S.—including high blood pressure, heart disease, and cancer—and it’s crucial to address this public health crisis…”
In other words, we are systematically causing bad health outcomes to innocent children as a policy.
Excited to hear about this. Glad to see these topics coming up this year at #AIMW18
Even though I’m an Asian-American, it’s hard for me to remember being negatively discriminated against in the workplace. I cannot tell if this is something I have blocked out or a result of the cultural makeup of the area in which I live and work.
Curious to find out if I have experienced microaggressions and just have not been able to pick it up.
I suppose this comes as little surprise based on what he has done in the past.
The GOP had the opportunity to take a stand for what is right. Ryan and McConnell came out against Moore. Yet AL GOP refused to take away endorsement. Now Trump jumps into the fray supporting Moore.
