I was Speaker when we passed the Affordable Care Act that has given millions of Americans newfound coverage and protected over 100 million people with pre-existing conditions. At the same time, I have watched as Republicans railed against it.

I watched as Republicans in Washington forced over 60 votes to repeal and/or undermine people's health care. Now, they want to run around the campaign trail and claim they're in favor of protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions? I don't think so.

Paul Ryan and Republicans didn't seem to care about the health care of young children or seniors and the skyrocketing cost of prescription drug prices. They VOTED to destroy pre-existing condition protections, slap those aged 50-64 with an Age Tax and increase the uninsured rate.

In fact, they are pushing crappy insurance plans that don’t include protections for pre-existing conditions, and they are pressuring the court to *eliminate* the protections from the ACA. 👇

Final point: Trump and Republicans in Washington passed a $2 trillion #GOPTaxScam. To pay for it, they want to cut over $2 trillion from Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

So no, these hypocrites don't get to claim they're the saviors of people's health care now.
