1/ The pandemic has been very good for robots. Instead of putting humans at risk of contracting and spreading the virus to others, robots are rolled out in all sorts of arenas.
Here are a few examples of how the world is taking advantage of these technologies.
2/ In workplaces: Especially in Asia, robots are being used to check in on visitors and employees entering office buildings-taking temperatures, and reminding people to put on masks.
3/ In hospitals: Robots are being used to help disinfect rooms and corridors using UV light and to carry medical supplies around for workers. Hospitals in Belgium have begun using robots to help check in new patients and escort them through the hospital.
1/ Over the past few months in conjunction with our JV partners the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC), we have actively responded to the pandemic through medical and non-medical interventions.
2/ Last week, we commissioned an isolation facility aimed at providing critical infrastructure to curb the spread of #COVID19 within Delta State.
The facility is equipped with a capacity of 70beds, a pharmacy, X-Ray room, side laboratory, power generator, amongst other resources.
3/ Over the years, we have carried out sustainable initiatives in our host communities through various programmes, including access to quality healthcare. Over $130million has been invested executing ~340 projects in the four states where we operate (Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, Rivers)
1/ This year’s #WorldEnvironmentDay theme is “#Biodiversity”.
According to @UN Biodiversity is the foundation that supports all life on land and below water.
Changing, or removing one element of this web affects the entire life system and can produce negative consequences.
2/ As a company, we remain committed to a sustainable world which is reflected in our CSR initiatives. A few of these include the retrieval of ~5t of #plastic polluting the five cowry creek waterway, a commitment to #reducing, #reusing & #recycling our waste.
3/ Last year, we recycled 1373.7kg of waste with the intention to reduce these figures over time. We have also empowered over 38,550 farmers in over 120 communities with the aim of contributing to conservation & sustainable use of #biodiversity through agriculture.
