1. There are some who think that Parliament would never allow the UK to crash out of the EU without a deal.
2. There are others who think that the UK will crash out with no deal, but it will be o.k., because very quickly the UK will go back to the EU with a begging bowl, and Brexit In Name Only, or Brino, will be drafted up super quick and agreed to.
3. This won't happen, because this craven set of Brexit politicians cannot listen to reason, and all they will do is blame the EU for their own stupidity when the EU refuses their conflicting irrational demands, such as leaving a club, but still keeping the value of membership.
4. But lets take a few steps back, and have a look at this stupidity thing a bit more.ย  Because our current government, and the broader conservative party, along with the Labour leadership, are becoming actual experts in stupidity.
5. Not to revisit the referendum.... we all know that that was a stinking charade of lies, manipulation, foreign interference, illegal spending, basically gaslighting the UK population.
6. We'll just pick a random point. And go from there.

For example the Medicines Agencies.

David Davis said that the Medicines Agencies would stay in the UK, even though we were leaving the EU

Two weeks later the EU confirmed that the Medicines Agencies would be leaving the UK.
7. That is one thousand jobs lost.

Total shit for one thousand people.

Plus a loss in international standing for the UK.ย  Plus the additional supporting jobs losses.
8. But oh no - water off a ducks back for the Brexiters. It is worth it for the benefits of leaving the EUย  for the UK EXCEPT THERE ARE NO BENEFITS IN LEAVING THE EU.

The UK has been fed a complete crock full of lies about the benefits of leaving the EU.
9. The only benefit of leaving the EU is not for the UK as a whole, but for the super rich, who do not want to comply with the EU tax avoidance directives which were agreed by every party, including the UK, and due to go into force the day the UK leaves the EU.
10. 170,000 jobs in the UK have already been lost due to Brexit. In the case of a *soft* Brexit - it could be a further 1 millionย  jobs lost, and for a hard Brexit / no deal, up to 3 million jobs lost.
11. But that is just the start of it. To worsen the absolute hardship and misery inflicted by millions of jobs lost, there would be a real risk of financial meltdown.
12. The UK economy descending into those experienced by banana republics with hyper inflation, food shortages and economy stalling. Post EU referendum economic chaos was very likely averted by a huge ECT shock of QE by the Bank of England. That trick will be difficult to repeat.
13. What about sovereignty? Don't we get back our sovereignty and our own laws? Nope. Because we never lost it to the EU in the first place. It was just a stupid, mendacious load of rubbish spread by demagogues and shit for brain heads.
14. The UK is a sovereign nation in the EU, just like ever other sovereign nation in the EU. There are rules, which we have allowed the EU to manage collectively, because it makes sense, and we agreed to it. Things that help us trade, for example.
15. Theresa May said that EU citizens in the UK would retain their rights, and UK citizens in the EU would retain theirs.

Two whole years after issuing Article 50 when she had no plan at all, Theresa May *still* has got no agreement for three million EU citizens.
16. There is nothing British, or decent about how our UK Govt has treated 3 million EU citizens.

There is also nothing decent about the UK Govt gaslighting the British people - repeatedly saying that no deal is better than a bad deal, but not to worry, they will get a good deal.
17. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT GET A GOOD DEAL simply because the Government continues to ask for things that are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.
18. Northern Ireland can *only* keep a soft border with Southern Ireland if Ireland stays in the Customs Union and Single Market.ย  The EU cannot maintain the integrity of food regulations unless there are physical checks of livestock and foodstuffs at the border.
19. ย Once the hormone beef, chlorinated chicken, GM grain, maggoty mushrooms etc. have crossed the border, it will be too late to control it, and the integrity of food supplies will be compromised.
20. Only option is for Britain to do what it wants from a trading perspective, have a border in the Irish sea, and, yes, to all intents and purposes, Northern Ireland stays part of the EU, but no longer part of the UK.
21. The ERG and the DUP will not accept this, along with many MPs.

A far larger number of MPs, along with the EU, rightly will not accept a hard border: they do not want to start supplying the body bags.
22. But the Irish Border is just the pinnacle of an entire mountain of un-achievable mutually exclusive goals, that May promises that will be delivered.
23. It was promised that we would have every country flocking to our door to have new trade agreements post the referendum, and the deals would be in place by the time we Brexited.
24. Not. A. Bit. Of. It.

We do not have a singled signed deal, we will lose every one of 50 free trade deals with the rest of the world that we currently have under the EU, *AND* we will have to start from scratch renegotiating them with 159 countries, rather than a paltry 27!
25. Chances of that going well?

We will also need to renegotiate new trade deals with the 27 EU members, before we can trade with them.

Gibraltar - Spain has a veto on the U.K. exiting the EU if there is not a satisfactory solution for Gibralter.
26. But to top all of the above the UK has recently

appointed a foods supplies minister
appointed a suicides minister
issued directions
for the shut down of social media to quell social unrest
to stockpile food...
27. to stockpile medicines (only for six weeks supply - is the government planning for diabetics to start to die after that?).
...and much more besides
28. This. Is. Not. What. People.Voted. For.

We need to be seriously worried. There is currently only one real end game for the Brexit negotiations: to crash out of the UK with no deal.
29.

There is only one chance to save the UK: a #PeoplesVote to give us the chance for a #FinalSay

Brexit was a shit idea, sold via lies and deceptive dark ads by the million, and as a consequence people voted for it, at the same time voting to lose their jobs and livelihoods, and make themselves and their children financially and culturally poorer.

MPs voted it through.
In terms of allowing the unacceptable to become acceptable...

And the UK's foreign owned MSM is a primary culprit here.

Covid in the UK.

Thread.

Itโ€™s not going well. But why?

1/37
Letโ€™s look at the beginning. Horrendous stories from Wuhan. A first big European breakout in Italy in April 2020. However, they found Covid in water samples taken in DECEMBER in Italy, so the awful death rates in Northern Italy in April had been developing for 3-4 months.

2/37
Everyone in China wore masks. A criminal offence not to. The UK advice was first not to shake hands. Except for bloviator Johnson. Problem is that Covid is also AIRBOURNE โ€“ it spreads also in droplets of air.

A year ago we left the EU, but the real impact of leaving will only be felt from tomorrow.

1/13
Although the โ€˜dealโ€™ includes tariff free access to the single market and customs union โ€“ it still destroys friction free access to the EU markets, which will destroy many UK businesses and cost many UK jobs.

2/13
It of course fails to address the UKโ€™s services industry โ€“ which represents 80% of trade with the EU.

EU lorry drivers from Germany, Eastern Europe, and across the EU drive in the EU.

They avoid travelling to third countries because delays at the border are very expensive.

Some do, if they are paid more. But only a few.

1/
There was a reason why EU lorry drivers were not availing themselves of the opportunity to find out what Brexit means as far as driving to the UK was concerned.

2/

The simple reason: they will not be driving to the UK post 1st Jan 2021. Itโ€™s the economics. They pay ยฃ100,000+ for their lorry. They work on small margins. Parking in a lorry park in Kent wonโ€™t cut it.

What has Brexit flagged to me?.... that there is a group of people with a phenomenally developed capability to talk and write. Who are looked upon by many as gurus.

Thread.

1/31
Sages. Marvellous individuals. People with drive, gusto and personality. Who are wheeled out into the bright lights of the TV cameras and repeatedly the demonic nature of their lies are hardly questioned.

2/31
Think Farage, Hanan, Singham, Baker, Rees-Mogg. Their sentences are so well constructed, such perfect button pressers, and delivered in a relentless monologic style, that the rationale is not questioned.

Peter Geogheganโ€™s superbly written, nuanced account of why the UK is currently is where it is.

And yes, the book does highlight the ways in which the Remain campaign failed democracy, and used unfair and deceptive means, as well as the multiple Leave campaign groups.

2/5
This book does not incite anger or division โ€“ it simply describes where we are at. It is tremendously important because pundits, politicians, as well as the general public can miss a trick.
