Over the past five weeks Manton has upgraded Micro.blog to work better with the Open Web and @MastodonProject; gradual updates combine to make it possible to access Mastodon *through* Micro.blog, along with other associated improvements.
Combining fixes, a new username feature, and disclosure of back-end reply processing from the past few months, the first release covered Webmention improvements: manton.org/2018/10/09/web…
In the next release Manton unveiled one of the biggest Micro.blog features to date; compatibility with Mastodon. This includes the option to cross-post from your blog to Mastodon and use of ActivityPub to integrate with the platform directly: manton.org/2018/11/07/mic…
A day later Manton revealed the new structure for usernames in Micro.blog, enabling improved interaction between the platform and the Open Web; this involves Mastodon and IndieWeb-friendly domain names specifically: manton.org/2018/11/08/use…
