14 Feb, the worst terror attack on security forces happened killing 44 soldiers. Congress supported govt on any impending action, media looked for opportunities to blame Congress. Key question left unanswered.

Amidst mounting pressure govt promised action, says No to dossier diplomacy. In the following days India lost 7 more soldiers in anti terror operations. Media shielded govt & attacked all & sundry. No accountability for Pulwama sought.

27 Feb, India carries out airstrikes, Pakistan promises revenge although it downplayed impact of the strike. International media buys Pakistan story. Indian media hails attack, common public celebrates.

28 Feb, Pakistan retaliates. Pakis struck on our military installations in broad daylight, fortunately the bomb dropped on brigade headquarters does not explode (probably Chinese make). Pak shoots down our aircraft & captures and shamelessly paraded our pilot violating all norms

Media claimed that we too shot down Paki aircraft but they deny. In the midst of all these, tragically we shoot down own helicopter killing six. Facts suppressed till elections.

The airstrike was audacious and risky but could Modi afford inaction in election season ?India perhaps did not except Pakistan retaliation but that happened promptly & that too in broad daylight. Pakis celebrated while India prayed for return of Abhinandan.

Abhinandan appeared on television and war clouds appeared on horizon. One of my hardcore BJP supporter said ‘ foolhardy act risking the nation for electoral gains.’
In response to Pakistan retaliation we sneaked the dossier & media didn’t highlight that.

Two days later Samjautha Express, a full trained chugged off from Delhi with just 12 passengers on board. Pakistan retaliation shook the govt. Meanwhile Congress went into a shell,not knowing how to react. Media as expected celebrated the fool hardiness with little impact.

Even as Congress went into a shell Poster Pilots sprung up everywhere, few meek voices from Congress cried foul but media found nothing wrong in those posters.
Pulwama was a tragic event but Modi converted the tragedy into an opportunity, of course media batted strongly for him

Ironically, it was General Bakshi who questioned the govt for not responding to Pakistan. I had posted this video a number of times. I was painted as a war monger by intellectual liberals in Congress. BJP politicised a failure, Congress choose silence?

How would have BJP reacted under such circumstances? We stand with the govt, Pakistan attack on our military installations should not go unpunished, the obvious answer.
Congress silence decided the fate of 2019 elections by first week of March, only the margin mattered now.

Ghar Main Ghus Ke Marenge resonated in the Hindi heartland, national security took the centre stage. Modi targeted the first time voters because cutting across caste lines teaching Pakistan a lesson made him a hero. Congress woke up l& brought up release of Azhar Masood,too late.

Comparison with Mumbai attack response was inevitable. Post parl attack,India lost 1164 soldiers in year long border stand off without firing a bullet so opted for a strategic response.LeT is the biggest terror organisation in Pak & post 26/11 it managed only 1 strike in 2016.

BJP fought on nationalism & congress countered with jobs, farmer distress etc. While the former is like a fast moving action packed thriller, the latter a dull paced art movie. Which one sold is anybody’s guess.

BJP did market it’s popular schemes like Ujwala, Awas Yojana , Toilets etc. But these were more like singles when compared to the huge sixer called nationalism. In UP the polarisation was started by Maya when she asked Muslims to vote for her & Yogi came up with Ali Bajrang Bali

Congress too contributed towards BJP tally by bringing in review of AFPSA & Art 370 and that too when nationalism was the flavour of the season. Both aspects find traction in 3 NC PDP seats. For the 3 seats Cong risked 540. Is Azad such a big fool ? Sidhu was another star for BJP

Opportunities don’t knock at your door everyday. BJP converted the Pulwama blunder into opportunity. Pakistan presented opportunity to Congress with its bold retaliation but Congress failed to capitalise. In the end it’s Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander

Now that PM got such a massive mandate,hope he looks ahead & not on Nehru. Let the sacrifice of 60 plus soldiers not go in vain.
Hope Cong learns that every Indian is patriotic & nationalism is a big emotional factor. Should avoid media for the party’s & nation’s sake.
