It's one thing to casually accept that your house has a ghost. Whatever, lots of houses have ghosts.
It's another thing altogether to actually SEE the damn thing.

It's very hot right now, and we don't have air conditioning, so I was sleeping on the air mattress in the purple room downstairs, aka, "the sound-proofed sex dungeon".
(For those of you who've missed the history of my house, before I bought it, it was a questionable private elder care facility upstairs, private BDSM club downstairs. I've found porn that was filmed in what is now my sister's room.)
As always, the room made some weird noises to greet me--noises that only make sense if someone else is there. No one else was there. I said a polite hello to the ghost, reminded them that we haven't had an exorcist in when we really could have, and went to sleep.
Around 2am, I got up to pee, and when I came back, there was a dark sphere with very distinct lines hovering over the bed. The edges were crisp, and it was too big to be an ocular floater. It was just hanging out with me while I slept.
2am Seanan makes bad choices. I waved my hand through the sphere a couple of times, confirming that it had no substance but made me colder, crawled into the bed, and went back to sleep.
Okay, ghost: what the fuck?
