I do want to point out that since #rejectionistherule this is the happy result of a long(ish) journey. I was shortlisted but unsuccessful in 3 other level B positions + a fellowship in last 18 months (plus an AO7 govt role)

I've spent a LOT of time writing grants and job apps, and although that was obviously all my work and I'm proud of it, I had some amazing supporters helping and encouraging me (plus writing letters of reference)

So shout out to @martine_maron for being an incredible mentor, support and friend throughout this process (and for the last 8 years!)

Also some incredible friends and colleagues who have shared advice, listened to my rants and provided personalised cheerleading services (looking at you @bec_colvin) @davila_federico @LauraSonter @april_reside @claudiafbenham @AnnaAvocado @CarlaWildlife and many others
