EPP Pres. @JosephDaul is at Moldova State University in #Chisinau to meet the next 🇲🇩 generations to discuss the importance of their involvement in the reforms that #Moldova is undertaking. He was met by Dean Gheorghe Ciocanu & was honoured to sign the university's guestbook
@JosephDaul 💬Today's young generation are fortunate to have pro-European leaders committed to the democratic future of #Moldova built on #RuleOfLaw, equal justice for all & prosperity. This change can only happen with the energy & ideas of the 🇲🇩 youth, said EPP President @JosephDaul
@JosephDaul 💬#Moldova is at a historic turning point but it is important to be patient. Things do not change over night, completely reforming a country takes time & patience. When a law is passed it must be implemented & the results are not seen immediately, said EPP President @JosephDaul
@JosephDaul 💬 I know @sandumaiamd & @AndreiNastaseDA well & am convinced they will listen to the voice of the next generation. They cannot face the problems of tomorrow with yesterday's answers. They need the opinions, hopes & ideas of the 🇲🇩 youth to move the country forward.
@JosephDaul@sandumaiamd@AndreiNastaseDA 💬🗳 We cannot change the world with a like on Instagram. In a democracy you take control by voting. The youth of #Moldova have not forgotten that free voting & the freedom to choose their leaders is a privilege that was restricted for their parents & grandparents for too long.
@JosephDaul@sandumaiamd@AndreiNastaseDA 💬 To create opportunities for all 🇲🇩 citizens, #Moldova's leaders must build a modern, democratic, open & European country founded on #RuleOfLaw, independent justice & fight against corruption. They can count on @EPP's full support along this journey, said @JosephDaul
@JosephDaul@sandumaiamd@AndreiNastaseDA 💬 Civil society, associations, businesses, trade unions & local communities have an important role to play. The young generation have the opportunity to build their own future & that of their country. Because a country without young people is a country without a future.
@JosephDaul@sandumaiamd@AndreiNastaseDA 💬 Its a pleasure to be at the State University of Moldova in #Chisinau to discuss the role young Moldovans have to play in shaping the future of 🇲🇩. Thank you to Dean Gheorghe Ciocanu for welcoming me today and @KASonline & @IRIglobal for their cooperation & organisation.

We need to discuss hypocrisy: The holier-than-thou S&D Group is at the epicenter of #Qatargate. It’s time they are held accountable. Their lecturing on rule of law has now been proven to be hypocritical. 1/
We need to discuss ownership: There has been a consistent effort to turn #Qatargate into an institutional issue alone. But this scandal is not an orphan. It did not appear out of nowhere. It did not happen by itself. It has a name. It has an address. And that’s the S&D Group. 2/
We need to discuss substance: Let’s not mince words. This S&D scandal goes beyond 'meet and greets'. It affected real decisions & legislation. To attack the @EPPGroup on their stance re urgency measures following these events shows how deep the left's disdain for democracy is. 3/
EPP welcomes China’s participation in global efforts to develop a #COVID19 vaccine.

💬Dear friends, it is with deep emotion that I address you at #EPPZagreb today, in my final speech as EPP President. The end of a mandate is always an opportunity to reflect, to take stock of your successes & failures.
💬A priority as EPP President has been building a closer cooperation with #WesternBalkans countries. We honour the late President Martens by continuing to defend the European path of the #WesternBalkans, said @JosephDaul
💬My proudest achievement has been ensuring the #EPP remains united. We are a family of many different perspectives but one that remains true to our founders Christian Democratic values, European commitment & faith in the social market economy, said @JosephDaul at #EPPZagreb
