.@DeptofDefense is helping move humanitarian commodities & personnel including 4 @USMC MV-22 Ospreys transporting @usairforce Airfield Assessment Teams into The #Bahamas to conduct assessments of critical transportation nodes 2/6
.@USCG established a Command Center at @USNavy Atlantic Undersea Test & Evaluation Center on Andros Island to coordinate assessment overflights,medevacs, & search & rescue missions. They have so far responded to more than 890 search & rescue calls. 3/6
.@USAID has deployed a disaster response team to lead federal coordination of U.S. government’s response on ground & are airlifting commodities,providing funding & shipping barges with commodities. 4/6
USAID has deployed search & rescue members from @LAFD & @fairfaxcounty Urban Search & Rescue as part of @fema National Urban Search & Rescue system. In addition @CBP deployed rotary & fixed-wing aircraft to assist with relief efforts. 5/6
