I’m not sure if people understand this yet, but, it literally doesn’t harm Trump’s re-election chances one bit if Democratic turnout increases in blue states. It just doesn’t matter.
The only way Trump loses is if Dems win some 2016 red states. Without Trump winning theirs.
Trump won 306 electoral votes worth of states in 2016. Whoever gets 270 wins the Presidency.
Democrats need to take a net 38 electoral votes worth of states away from Trump (37 won’t do as it would lead to a 269-269 tie and Trump would still win).
It literally doesn’t matter if Dems channel whatever that progressive energy stuff these clueless liberal pundits keep talking about on TV. Because in the states most likely to be taken back from Trump, progressives don’t run the show. Moderates do.
It absolutely doesn’t matter if the ultimate Democratic nominee energizes a mighty army of prohressives who are ready to storm Nevada on Election Day. Why not? Because they’re in Nevada. It’s a blue state. Winning it doesn’t cut into Trump’s 306. At all.
Fired up Democratic voters in Virginia? Meh. Voters who want a Democratic revolution in Oregon? Who cares? Trump doesn’t. It’s ALL about 270. If Dems don’t get it, it just doesn’t matter.
Now come back to the electoral map. Remember that Dems have to take 38 electoral votes worth of STATES TRUMP WON - or it doesn’t matter. And come back to the Democratic Primaries.
Listen to most of the candidates. Do they talk like they’re trying to win voters in Trump states???
For the longest time they were all trying to out-maneuver each other to the left. Which is the opposite of what you need to do if you want to take those 38 electoral votes from Trump.
This is where Democratic primary voters have to be practical. Can your guy/gal win red states?
Because if the Democrats nominate somebody who excites progressives to the nth degree but can’t get voters in 2016 red states to vote for them while holding onto the several states which Trump almost won, this whole thing is for nothing.

Former President Trump thinks that these people were treated “unfairly.”
But doesn’t think that these people were treated unfairly.
Hypocrite.
Trump doesn’t really have a problem with people who break the law. As long as they break the law for him.
The Central Park Five were exonerated by DNA. Trump took out a full page ad in all four major NY newspapers in 1989 calling for the death penalty against these men, who we now know for sure did not commit the crime. Their families started receiving threats.
Every human who has ever lived is a biological relative of every other human who has ever lived. We have a common set of parents (Acts 17:26).
As much as we talk about the concept we call race and about differences we may have, we’re all siblings. Regardless of everything.
Why does it sometimes seem we’re so different? Lots of reasons. Certainly, we’re all individuals and no two individuals are the same.
We have different life and familial experiences which can cause us to view the world from different vantage points.
And when you take groups of people and separate them, different cultures develop. Even within a family, if one branch of the family lives in Massachusetts and another in Mississippi, they’re going to develop differences.
The thing to remember about Fox News is that they probably don’t care as much as we think they do about advertisers. Most of their revenue seems to come from subscriber fees from cable and satellite companies.
So the logical thing for anyone who doesn’t like media companies openly rooting for America’s adversaries would be to pressure the cable and satellite companies.
But my (somewhat uneducated) guess is that one of the reasons they might be accelerating their streaming services is to innocuate themselves from that possibility.
In the end, the only thing the Murdoch family seems to care about, even a little bit, is money.

The Fox News poll is one of the most complete polls in terms of breaking out the responses by various demographic groups. In the poll released yesterday:
Men and Women had the exact same net approval of Biden (47/52).
White Men and White Women were almost the same. Biden had a net 17 point disapproval with White Men and a net 13 point disapproval with White Women.
But here’s where it gets interesting.
Comparing the categories of race, gender and education together, there is a 51 point gap between how White Women with and without degrees rated Biden. White Women with degrees rated him +18. White Women without degrees rated him -33.
The Cincinnati Bengals had a 2-14 record in 2019. Two years ago.
The San Francisco 49ers had a 4-12 record in 2018.
The Los Angeles Rams had a 4-12 record in 2016.
The Kansas City Chiefs went 2-14 in 2012.
And now they’re all playing in their Conference Championships.
The NFL is designed so that terrible teams don’t stay terrible forever and so that great teams eventually fall from the top.
Which makes it seem unusual when teams never seem to dramatically improve. Even over the course of decades.
All of these teams and a lot of other franchises have seen a lot of change over the course of the last decade. Hired visionary coaches and General Managers. Drafted or brought in franchise quarterbacks. Have numerous players who are All-Pros or in the Pro Bowl.
