It’s 2am and all I can think about is that in hospitals and clinics across America, my friends and colleagues are going to war against #COVID19 with no protection. Would we ever accept sending soldiers into battle without armor? (1/x)
Yet doctors, nurses, and other health care workers are working without masks, reusing gloves, running out of gowns, and now falling sick themselves.They're putting their lives at risk because we have failed to get them the help they need despite warnings this day was coming.(2/x)
That’s what happening now. In the richest nation in the world. We need to use every resource and authority available to ramp production of personal protective equipment (PPE). Pull out the stops. Health care workers have stepped up. It’s long past time we had their backs. (3/x)
