Hi #histSTM #histsci #histmed #twitterstorians of #biology & #biomedicine!

I haven't seen a list of digital #archive materials to use in this moment of quarantine, so I'll start one

Emphasis on collections with broad & eclectic materials.

the @CSHLLibrary has a digital repository which includes papers of individual life scientists but also lots of the material they accrued on related issues (the war on cancer, human genome project, etc.)

archivesspace.cshl.edu/repositories/2
@nlm_news maintains the "Profiles in Science" page, which has scanned and distributed papers from numerous (bio)medical researchers-- once again a great collection to run keywords through!
lhncbc.nlm.nih.gov/project/profil…
While we're virtually in Bethesda the NIH library has scanned numerous reports from its branches:
nihlibrary.nih.gov/agency/nih
and the @historyatnih also has created many digital objects: history.nih.gov/archives/index…
there's also @BioDivLibrary of course, on the 19th and 20th centuries

biodiversitylibrary.org
Or maybe it's that time to start reading for that Charles Darwin article you wanted to write (or many other dimensions of 19th century natural history) in the Charles Darwin papers-- lots of correspondence that can be used in different ways.
darwin-online.org.uk/manuscripts_an…
The Online Archive of California searches many individual archives in the state, and includes many digitized items as well
oac.cdlib.org
There are also the digitized collections @WellcomeLibrary
wellcomelibrary.org/collections/br…
In para-archival terms the @MedicalHeritage is a trove of material worth searching:
medicalheritage.org/search-2/
That's it for now-- I'm sure that I've missed some collections-- my apologies! What other large digital troves do people use? @elmilam @ehepler @AyahNerd @steerewilliams @HSSFHHMLS?
And I certainly did miss several, but I want to particularly highlight the tobacco section in @industrydocs and @ToxicDocs, both of which have troves of material on biology and medicine.
