1) I’ve just passed 100k followers. Note to new followers: I mostly tweet about genetics, evolution, scientific racism, snark, films and Jordans.
2) how are the racists? I had a quick scan and all the data race bros seem to have transferred their utter Dunning Kruger ignorance to epidemiology
3) In my most delirious state I somehow managed to get the latest drop: air max 95 Jordan 4s. I have no memory of this.

Geneticists at UCL have engaged in long-standing, ongoing, proactive and critical teaching of #eugenics and our own pernicious history. In a recent comment for @Nature following the UCL Eugenics enquiry, our work was seriously misrepresented. Here is our response.
The majority of the Eugenics Enquiry committee refuse to sign the official report, this being one of the reasons.
In the week that commentary was published, I personally taught genetics and race, and eugenics and medicine to around 400 undergrads.
We estimate that Steve Jones *alone* has taught a critical history of eugenics at UCL to maybe 12,000 undergraduates, including me as a first year in 1994.

Right, well I’ve got #COVID19 now, laid out for the last 24 with coughs, aches etc. Feels like a mild flu. Total isolation now, and be vigilant especially if you’ve had contact with me recently.
Thank you for all your lovely messages. We are withdrawing the kids from school, which they were ecstatic about until my son realised I am quarantined in the PlayStation room.
Update: A bit rough, but ok, my daughter much the same. It’s not much fun but we’ll be ok. Immunosuppressed or vulnerable people need to avoid this like the plague, and the only tactic that worked for the plague was quarantine.

I’m going to tell my Mike Bloomberg story.
Late 90s, I was going out with someone who worked at Bloomberg in London. I got invited to their Xmas party. 1/n
It was the most decadent party I’ve been to, 7 Deadly Sins themed, every floor a different sin, pretty good fun. Anyhoo, my gf was talking to a bunch of colleagues and I was at the margin of this group, but of a hanger on. 2/n
And I’m standing with a drink, and this guy is also being semi-ignored next to me, and he eventually says ‘who are you then?’ And I say ‘I’m Adam, I’m x’s boyfriend. Who are you?’ 3/n
