1.6. The new #Covid19 cases uncovered yesterday in Bshirri underscores the following points:
2.6. We need to reach the 2500 daily testing capacity. More importantly, this testing capacity should cover the whole country, including rural areas, and refugee camps.
3.6. Clusters of #Covid19 do exist, but the spread of the infection is being limited by the lockdown. We need to stay home. If we have to go out, wearing masks and social distancing are required.
4.6. The lockdown cannot go on forever. An exit plan, including when and how, is needed. It should be shard with the public. Lockdowns may have to be eased then reinstituted. Patience is required, and public awareness and understanding can ease the pain. This is a marathon.
5.6. The cooperation between public(Bshirri) and private(St. Georges) hospitals is exemplary and commended. Both constituents of the health sector, public and private, need to continue their cooperation to have an effective and durable response.
Setbacks will occur. We have to fix it, learn, adjust, and then carry on.
