Lot of exhortations on here to "go and buy a newspaper". Which some of us think is a good idea, but one widely mocked by #dontbuythesun tweeters.
But suppose you did decide to venture to the newsagents, what could you buy today?
Well, obvs #covid19 is of abiding concern (1/?)

Some seem to believe that @DominicRaab has suddenly acquired a medical qualification to go with his elevation to caretaker PM. And that a "fighting spirit" is enough to cure the sick.
(It isn't. And as @paulconnew1 points out, it's insulting to those who die)

Others think the country is "behind" Boris Johnson, and that the fact that it is willing him to make a full and swift recovery is more important than anything else that happened yesterday - like more health workers dying.

If you're the Mirror, you want "human interest", but a Prime Minister you detest in intensive care doesn't quite cut it.
But the Queen sending a message to his pregnant girlfriend is just the ticket...

The Tel has similar concerns. It's desperate for us all to get back to normal. Who's going to make that call?
But it brilliantly covers all bases, including the "fighter" and "we're behind you", along with the extraordinary assertion that BJ's health is the health of the nation

Meanwhile the Sun goes full Trump and instructs a largely irreligious nation to pray for its stricken leader.
(Weirdly making a virtue of the PM working when he clearly shouldn't have done - thus negating all those "stay in, save lives" messages)

And then come the joyous outliers...
The FT tells us the Germans did it better (nothing new there, then)

And finally the Daily Star has a "fever" splash - but not the fever everyone is fretting about. It's concern is hay fever.
Never mind that we've been told to stay indoors. It's Easter coming up and so the one thing that matters is the weather.
