April 18 update on the #COVID19 pandemic in Alberta. Aggressive public health measures continue to be implemented to stop the spread of #COVID19AB. 
One Albertan has died since the last report, bringing the provincial total to 51 deaths. 165 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported, bringing the total number of cases in Alberta to 2,562. #COVID19AB
There are currently 57 people in hospital, of which 14 have been admitted to ICU. Of the 2,562 total cases, 450 are suspected of being community acquired. #COVID19AB
4,092 tests have been completed in the last 24 hours and a total of 96,897 tests performed by the lab. #COVID19AB

A fire ban is in place inside the Forest Protection Area of Alberta and Alberta provincial parks and protected areas until further notice. No off-highway vehicle restrictions are currently in effect in the Forest Protection Area. #COVID19AB
