My COVID-19 Experience (A thread)

Hmmmm! Where do I start? They say experience is the best teacher. Since Coronavirus started, I have been at the forefront of the campaign against people catching it. Believe me, I did not know what I was talking about. Why? #COVID19..,,,,
I had no experience but now I can tell you that COVID-19 is real. It happened to me and I was almost gone!
If you don’t experience it or see someone who went through it you can’t understand and I mean it. It was a nightmare. #COVID19
When it happened, it was like a joke. Tiredness, cold, serious shivering, body pain, loss of vision, lack of appetite, cough and the likes. It was a nightmare. I became like a skeleton in 5 days and I am not joking. I could not recognize myself in the mirror. #COVID19
I was a shadow of myself. I saw death face to face. My wife and children were crying daily. My wife just told me she forgot to brush her teeth for 7 days! #COVID19......
My wife insisted that I will not go to the hospital. I also refused to go. Many who went died there so wisdom demands that if I can try, I should stay in my house. We prayed and prayed. Then I did the following:

1. I drank lots of water with lemon. #COVID19.....,
I took at least 10-12 liters a day.
2. I forced myself to eat. PAP with lemon or 1 weetabix per meal. Imagine. That was all. A friend told me that “pastor if you don’t eat you will die” You can’t put the message better than that. #COVID19...
,He saved my life with those words.
3. Ginger, garlic and lemon together. I don’t like honey or sweet things. I love bitter and spicy things. My mother raised me that way #COVID19
4. Pepper Soup with fish but I only took it once. It became odious.
5. Paracetamol was useless but I had to take it.
6. Steaming by covering my head and inhaling the heat from a bucket. I sweated like hell. Aboliki a Nigerian balm was an ‘angel’. #COVID19....
7. Openness with the church members. I told them my condition and asked for prayers.
8. Openness with my pastor friends to lift me up in prayers. Don’t fight alone. #COVID19......
My advice is: Take necessary precautions not to catch it. About 800 or more people are dying in the UK everyday. Somebody’s gran, father, mother, brothers or sisters. You can comment or have an opinion if you are not affected but he who feels it knows it.#COVID19....,..
Finally, I am worried for Nigeria as it is just unraveling there and I pray it does not break out big time. I saw comments on my Twitter page yesterday and some were even attacking me. I laughed! You don’t know what I was talking about. #COVID19...,,
Theory is different from practical. Experience is the best teacher. I will still pray for you that this thing will not hook you. It is a bastard and has no respect for anyone. I love you all but please be safe. God’s speed. #COVID19
