I have been an independent writer for the greater part of my writing career. Just eight of my (so far) 30 years of writing have been spent in full time employment.
To write what I want, I have done all I can to remain independent/freelance. That is especially urgent today.

Patreon might be the way to maintain my independence. My biggest concern has been keeping my writing as accessible as possible. Not everyone who follows me has a credit card/PayPal etc.
