A small thread on #death from the view of #Jyotisha

#Death is not something most people see or experience too often in their lifetime.
#Death changes people, mostly temporarily, sometimes permanently.

Most people as a generalisation aren’t aware what death is... and therefore their experience of what life “should” be is limited.

In #Jyotisha the 8th house, traditionally considered a #Dusthana rules #Death.
In my first book on Jyotish, written 20 years ago, published 15 years back, I wrote that typically the 8th house is not good except for certain people.. doctors being one category.

While #8thhouse planets don’t necessarily give a career in medicine, you will find people with a strong 8th house generally living a good portion of their life in #hospitals
#8th house is #Death and #12th house is confinement and a combination gives people connected with death.

You may remember my set of tweets on judgement of spiritual people and mantra shastra as #mantrapada is the 5th house, if you find that 5th lord from all three Lagnas in a Rajayoga (ie for mantra Darshana/siddhi) AND 12th and 8th houses are prominent then that gives what?

What is #8th house? What is #12th house?
Tradition says that benefics (ie. Jupiter/Venus or Mercury with Jupiter or Moon with Jupiter) in the 8th house give a peaceful #Death
That is #Prarabdha

This is a bit general, one can delve into the “64th Navamsa, as well as the 22nd Drekkana” to find exact method of #Death from the classics of #Jyotisha.
Does it work?
A: Many a time!

You may be spiritual, 100%,
You may be great, 100%,
You may be elevated, 100%,
You may be even God incarnate on earth... 100%
BUT,
That does not guarantee a peaceful or dignified #Death

Sab Baba Mahakaal ki Satta hai, kaun kaha, kyun aur kaisey marney wala hain... (majority of time) manushya ki koi aukaat hii nahi.
