Here's the thing: if you were alive and living in the "inside-the-beltway" culture in the DC area back in the '90s, you *heard* stories about Biden (usually in conjunction with nights out drinking w/Kennedy & Dodd, his two best friends in the Senate). I was TWELVE and heard them.
I've always been sort of surprised how that common Beltway lore just magically disappeared from insider knowledge. You can advance a cynical motive, or you can suggest that a changing of the guard retired certain Old Knowledge.
Guys, I know that Biden "doesn't drink" (*ahem*). But yes, they all hung out together back in the day. To be quite clear: I don't actually buy the Reade allegations, at least not yet. But the legend of Joe Biden, handsy charmer of waitresses and aides...that was a thing back then
I will give this much to Ol' Joe (who certainly seems to be doing a better job of running his presidential campaign than Donald Trump right now): he's not Chris Dodd. Chris Dodd is amazingly lucky to have retired before #MeToo became a thing, because oh man the stories...
