The Federal Ministry of Education wishes to inform Nigerian students and the general public that @9mobileng has given free data access to the following E-Learning portals to support the Federal Government's E-Learning program, especially during the #COVID19 period.

They are:
1. Khan Academy - khanacademy.org

4. Seesaw - web.seesaw.me

5. National Open University - ceagslearn.nouedu.net
You can visit any of the listed portals to access learning resources. Feedback can be relayed to the Federal Ministry of Education through:

From the first signs that Coronavirus, or COVID-19 was turning into an epidemic and was officially declared a world-wide emergency, the Federal Government started planning preventive, containment and curative measures in the event the disease hits Nigeria.
The whole instruments of government are now mobilized to confront what has now become both a health emergency and an economic crisis.

Nigeria, unfortunately, confirmed its first case on 27th February 2020. Since then, we have seen the number of confirmed cases rise slowly.

The National Directorate of Employment has kicked off a Special Public Works Programme (SPW), to engage young Nigerians in rural local governments.

40,000 young Nigerians, aged 18-30, already engaged in pilot phase:

-8 States
-5 rural LGAs per State
-1,000 beneficiaries per LGA
The eight States in the pilot phase of the @NDENigeria-managed SPW program are as follows:

Ebonyi
Borno
Edo
Ekiti
Adamawa
Kwara
Katsina
Jigawa

The SPW is a 3-month paid initiative aimed at engaging young unemployed Nigerians in rural areas, during the dry (non-farming) season.
SPW Beneficiaries have been engaged to carry out clearing/cleaning of streets, markets, schools, drains, etc; and also maintenance of rural feeder roads.

No skills or formal education are required for the SPW Program. The target areas are rural communities.
