@rising_serpent I think that rose is going to open up & reveal it's beauty today!

Sounds like a perfect metaphor for us getting May flowers after April showers!

Declassification to reveal the truth!
@rising_serpent Was Comey signalling a Mayflower?

And today we get a FOIA report naming those involved in the CIA's Project Mockingbird from 1975.
Is that someone with the codename Mayflower? Or is it the Mayflower Hotel? HT @aluminumnatti & @MuseScry
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry I wonder if @NatSecGeek is shadow banned? I follow her but can't recall the last time I have seen one of her tweets in my timeline. Links in her tweet!
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek These docs seem to indicate that Project Mockingbird was illegal phone taps on locations. I don't see the Watergate Hotel on that list, maybe it is one of the redacted ones...
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Got to keep the 7th Floor of the CIA informed of Congressional requests related to illegal domestic activities by the CIA. Are we going to find out Safari House or a similar outfit took over CIA's illegal domestic activities as well as the illegal arms deals?
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Oh, seems Mockingbird was gathering 'incidental collection' between the subjects and members of Congress. They even had the transcripts of those calls!
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek We get an "Eyes Only" CIE memo on Operation Mockingbird!

Claims they were leak hunting to reporters from government officials!
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek In 1962 the Director of the CIA ordered illegal surveillance of reporters to determine who was leaking to them!
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Claims the program only lasted from March to June 1962 when the retirement of the Director of Security who was running it ended the program.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek The program found that Paul J. Scott was gathering the information, then it was being compiled in a report by a drunken Col Robert S. Allen. Info was then delivered to the reporters by Allen in a phone call.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Seems many of the leaks & sources were from politically motivated individuals around Washington trying to fight partisan battles. Reporters even left good info out because it was too easily traced to the source.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Who was spied upon?
The Speaker of the House & other members of Congress & their staff members.
Members of the executive branch including WH, VP's office, DOD, State, US AID, DOJ, NASA & CIA!
The DNC & RNC, lobbyists retired officials & union officials!
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Break down on how the two leak collectors operated & their networks.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek The CIA failed to find a source, known as Mr. X who was leaking from within the CIA!
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek The leak collectors had sources withing various government agencies that warned them of investigation into them & their sources. Including cased by the Air Force & DIA to find the leakers.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek The leaks even involved efforts to oust or protect powerful officials from their jobs including the CIA Director! But was Col Grogan trying to identify the leaker?
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Then we get a 7 page list of leak contacts who would have been identified under the illegal spying network. Oh this is lots of fun!
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Members of the House of Representatives.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Members of the Executive Branch.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Other, including DNC & RNC officials
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek And a group that they did not definitively identify...
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Then we get to a list of people who were cleared to know about Project Mockingbird. This is called a BIGOT list:
AG Robert F Kennedy, DIA Director General Carroll, SecDef Robert McNamara, the 7th Floor of the CIA & the CIA's Office of Security.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Then a variety of redacted people withing CIA Office of Security & the Technicians doing the wiretapping & other work.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Then they get into the stories that were based upon the leaks. Like someone offering info that the CIA had funded a Congressional campaign to defeat an incumbent they didn't like!
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Huh, lots of stuff about the CIA use of off the book "unvouchered" funds to pay for shady stuff. Like socialist conferences across Europe, with evidence the CIA was promoting socialism not trying to gather intel on the socialists.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Paying large consulting fees to big US law firms to write reports to give the CIA advice on issues. But never actually using the advice...
Looks like a way to corrupt & coopt law firms in Swamp style.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Seems the Cord Meyer Jr., the guy running the CIA unvouchered funds was a major proponent of world government initiatives & was the son of a State Dept. official.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Major political infighting over the concern by the new CIA Director that bad info was getting into National Intelligence Estimates handled by the CIA & State Dept. estimators! They were concerned they would lose control of that interagency process.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Started bouncing around looking for other documents with this huge file.

Seems the CIA went into major CYA mode over Mockingbird & other programs to mitigate revelations about illegal spying in response to allegations of illegal activities with the Watergate Hotel.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Interesting a written response to questions from the CIA Inspector General investigating the illegal spying allegations.
Answer: Program was ordered & authorized by the CIA Director but no memos were available to prove it.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Who else knew about the program?
They claim the DCI briefed AG RFK, SecDef MacNamera & Director of DIA. But CIA said there were no documents showing what was briefed or documenting that it happened.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek CIA told the IG with no evidence that DCI briefed SecDef McNamara but had no documentation to prove that assertion beyond an undated & unsigned memo summarizing the program.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek No information on how the wiretapping was done, no records existed.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek CIA memos claimed the program only existed from March-June 1962. But the logs they turned over for phone calls & recordings is dated March-June 1963?

How would you get the year wrong while making a log of calls in 1962?
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek CIA claims the tapes of phone calls were not kept, but 'volumnous' transcripts from the calls were kept & still in CIA's hands in the 1970s.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek A CIA document from 1967 also listed the Project Mockingbird case as having occurred in 1963...

In what appears to be a chronological listing of illegal spying operations.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek The logs clearly show their activity on a regular basis & list 1963 dates.

Why would the CIA have lied to Congress in 1975 to say that Project Mockingbird was in 1962 instead of 1963?
Very odd...
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Conflicts of interest in the AID Program, now known as USAID. An area where there have been many concerns with Swampy aid disappearing into the pockets of connected & powerful people.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek The reporters were investigating Kennedy's discussion of the assassination of Fidel Castro....
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Well in 1975 they were telling the CIA IG that the program was conducted in 1963, so why do the other memos say it was in 1962?
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Page 98, a long set of documents which are the requests for CIA records for the Church Committee investigating illegal actions by the CIA. Lots of breadcrumbs in here...

Efforts to evade Church's oversight lead to the foundations of the Safari Club to outsource illegal CIA ops.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek Still redacting the good stuff after all these years...
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek The Safari Club was created by Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, GHW Bush & other CIA personnel to run covert operations in violation of US law & to evade Congressional oversight. Often using BCCI to launder the money.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek You don't think the CIA has been involved in continued involvement in political affairs within the United States to help politicians or others? I'm sure that stopped in 1975...
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek @RevisitedRick You don't think the CIA was still involved in creating false dossiers & forging evidence to damage people's reputations on US citizens AFTER called on the carpet for it by the Church Commission?
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek @RevisitedRick Looks like 8 or 9 of these CIA domestic intelligence gathering programs are still too classified to name even in 2020!
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek @RevisitedRick I'm sure there are no new declassifications but I don't know the Church Committee previous releases in details to be sure.
@rising_serpent @aluminumnatti @MuseScry @NatSecGeek @RevisitedRick Seeking details on a few cases that are documented among a 694 page summary of CIA's most secret work in a report entitled "Family Jewels".
