Previously we haven't accredited the experience doctors brought from jobs abroad, or from outside of formal training programmes.

There has been widespread deployment to new posts during #COVID19; the competencies count now.

All experience should be counted. #NHSreset (2/6)

Revalidation to ensure professional development? The absence of revalidation has not disincentivised staff reflecting & developing their practice in the face of this crisis. Are there negative implications from giving staff more breathing space? (3/6)

Graduating medical students early into pre-registration roles with final assessments/modules removed, yet many stepped into supervised roles seamlessly as F1s. Do we need this many assessments, or indeed need to create yet another in the form of the Medical Licensing exam? (4/6)

So many staff now practicing via video/telephone appointments. Whilst not ideal in every situation, for many this has saved patient & staff time/travel. This is likely the future of clinics, do our postgraduate assessments reflect this? Are they still fit for purpose? (5/6)

We've seen the incredible impact that wellbeing facilities, free parking, free food & drink provision can have on staff morale as well as the knock on effect on productivity. It shouldn't take a pandemic for our #NHS staff to feel valued. #NHSReset
