2/9 Smart contracts has gained popularity by @VitalikButerin's initial release of @Ethereum in July 2015.

Since then smart people in tech've been hacking and experimenting with new token economy. We ended up w/ ICO, DAO, TCR, and a bunch of papers calling for #crypto revolution.

3/9 Nevertheless, the adoption of smart contracts in real businesses is almost non existent. Why?

Often time the smart contract techs are driven by tech-focused group of researchers. They're solving the #crypto dilemma from a technical standpoint.

4/9 In reality, businesses cannot just jump in and build all the infrastructure in smart contracts, because much of their operations still rely on data and services available to the traditional web & physical world.

🙅‍♂️Hence the trilemma to businesses is fundamentally different.

5/9 To fix this, @BandProtocol and @ChainLink exist.

Making #crypto protocols secure is as important of a problem as making them usable in business settings.

Thus #oracle is arguably as important as layer-1.

6/9 Because of this, similarly to how layer-1 protocol are still under active research, much of solving the #oracle problem to fix crypto-business use case trilemma is still under development.

The entire #oracle space is still young and undervalued. That's just the reality.

7/9 As we see #crypto grows in adoptions, #oracle issue will become increasingly prevalent. This fact will especially be true once the layer-1 @Ethereum @PolkadotNetwork @Cosmos @NearProtocol become more advanced.

Give it a few more years and people will sing #oracle=#adoption

8/9 Therefore, much like how layer-1 is going to worth trillion of dollars, #oracle is going in much of the same direction.

@ChainLink can be worth much higher, and so does @BandProtocol. There should be cooperations in R&D to propel the #crypto industry forward. 🌈

9/9 I love both $LINK and $BAND. Sometimes I need to hold each party accountable for security issues because it's important for the progress of #oracle development.

Bottom line is that both projects will flurish. #Oracle is growing, and we don't need to fight for growing pie. ❤️
