5. First ODI double ton and first World Cup 200 were scored exactly 5 years apart!

Sachin Tendulkar scored 200 not out on February 24, 2010. Chris Gayle hit 215 in the 2015 World Cup on the same day.
6. Alec Stewart was born on April 8, 1963 (8-4-63) — the exact tally of runs he ended his Test career with, 8463..!!
7. Dhoni's first Test and ODI hundred both came in his 5th match, were both scores of 148 and both were scored against Pakistan. Cool coincidence indeed for Captain Cool..!!

8. When Australia’s Michael Clarke and England’s Alastair Cook completed their 100th Test match, the sum total of their runs was nearly equal to that of Sachin Tendulkar’s total Test runs and their combined tons exactly the same to that of Sachin.

12. Coincident Tendulkar & Kohli, is hard to believe. In the year 1999, Sachin had completed 1000 runs against Australia in the 19th over in the fifth test match in Melbourne.


15 years later, Virat Kohli too completed 1000 runs against Australia in Melbourne in the fifth test match and that too in the 19th over. They both were 26 years old when they achieved this feat and they both were playing with an MRF bat.

13. Ralph Lindsay took a hat-trick in the annual match between Oudtshoorn Defence & Port Elizabeth Defence in SA in 1957, dismissing Messrs Voges, Jones & Le Grange with successive balls. 6 years later, in the same fixture, Lindsay did it again removing the same 3 in same order.

18. There is a common link that connects Sachin Tendulkar’s top 3 ODI scores of 175, 186* and 200. In all these matches, India’s Shavir Tarapore was the umpire.

19. England’s Tony Greig took 4/53 in the second innings of his debut Test match against Australia in 1972. Incidentally, his brother Ian Greig had the same figures of 4/53 in the first innings of his debut Test match against Pakistan in 1982.

20. The first ever Test match between Australia & England was won by the hosts in Melbourne in 1877. Australia won by 45 runs. The Centenary Test match was played on the same ground between the same opponents in 1977. This time, Australia won by the exact same margin of 45 runs.
21. On 2 may 2010, he became first Indian to score a century in T20 international during his 101 off just 60 balls, hitting nine fours and five sixes against South Africa in a WT20 match. India ended up on 186 and won the match by 14 runs.

Three years later exactly on the same day, Suresh Raina went to score his first IPL century. He scored 100 off 53 deliveries, hitting 7 fours and 6 sixes. Incidentally, CSK also made exactly 186 and won the match by 15 runs.

22.  the 1978 First class season, former England cricketer David Steele scored 1182 runs in 31 completed innings and finished with an average 38.12. His younger brother John also scored exactly 1182 runs in 31 completed innings, to finish at an average of 38.12.

✔️ There were two run-outs in Pakistan’s innings in both matches (Saleem Malik and Wasim Akram in Sharjah; Misbah-ul-Haq and Sohaib Maqsood in Mirpur).

Clive Lloyd & Ricky Ponting are the only two captains to lead their team to World Cup victory twice and also the only two captains to score a century in a World Cup final.

26. Ishant Sharma is responsible for all the 3 highest scores made by a batsman against India in the 21st century

Cook – 294 Runs, Edgbaston 2011; M Clarke – 329 Runs, Sydney 2012; McCullum – 302 Runs, Wellington 2014. They were all dropped by Ishant early on in their innings.
27.Virender Sehwag’s highest scores in T20, ODI and Tests are 119, 219 and 319 respectively.

119 was scored in an IPL game.

28. Glenn McGrath finished his career in all three formats in the best way possible. The fast bowler took the wicket off the last ball off his test and T20 career and a wicket off the second last ball of his career in ODIs.

29. ML Jaisimha, Ravi Shastri and Pujara are the only Indians to bat on all five days of a Test match.

More freaking thing is that they all did this at same venue Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

30. Robin Singh - India's one-day specialist played one Test match in his career against Zimbabwe in 1998. His namesake Robin Singh junior was a fast bowler who played his only Test against New Zealand in 1999.
