The ‘imminent end’ of oil is greatly exaggerated.

The world has in recent years consumed an average of 100 million barrels of crude oil per day.

Even at the height of the global shutdowns in April, demand was still around 70-75 million daily.

And it’s now picking up again.
Panel I most enjoyed on #FTGlobalBoardroom was the oil industry one. Video online on the event site.

Interesting insights into the future of crude oil: Jet fuel will take a hit, diesel and gasoline may actually see increased consumption, is one scenario.
Coronavirus likely to affect appetite for public transportation - will this show up in increased private transport? Companies booking Uber for staff etc? To what extent will that show up in petrol consumption?

Questions.
