Global trade will continue. But global institutions such as the WTO are in great peril with no current convincing reform possibility (because members couldn't agree on anything important). How best to navigate such an age as a nation state or business?
I will hazard a guess that those best able to navigate the increased complexities of future global trade will be larger companies i.e. there will be further economic concentration. They can afford to lobby / overcome regulatory barriers etc. Not necessarily a popular thought.
