And there was one common theme:
Lack of discipline.
Discipline is a practise.
A skill.
More:
At least eventually.
It's KNOWING that caving into your impulses will only lead to disappointment.
Discipline = Overpowering your internal demons.
Psychologists call this an 'internal locus of control'.
Forget about the past.
Did you fail on previous diets?
Did you regain all that lost weight?
Did you binge last night?
FORGET ABOUT IT & MOVE ON WITH TODAY!
If you get today right, you'll feel much better.
Then you're more likely to get tomorrow right.
The you'll start building confidence and momentum, and discipline comes more naturally then.
Top tip:
Download a fasting timer app to stay accountable.
Crises tend to screw up your original plans and routines.
Often, it can be a good idea to create a new one.
Be it:
- OMAD
- 72 hour fasting
- Daily morning workouts
Whatever it is, make the most of a bad situation, by trying something new & exciting.
With fear-mongering headlines, it's easy to get distracted and lose focus.
But think:
- What are the positives right now?
- What can I improve right now that I couldn't before
- Are there new OPPORTUNITIES right now?
(Hint: Holy s*** there's so many)
A lot of guys are struggling with comfort food & alcohol right now.
I.e sugar & booze.
I.e the two worst things in your diet.
Let me tell you something:
Or with that delicious bottle of red wine staring at them from the shelf.
Nobody.
Get rid of this stuff.
Out of sight, out of mind.
But you MUST stay disciplined during difficult times (they're not over, not by a long shot).
These times are a test of your will.
It's time to stop failing.
