The Nazis took #EthnoNationalism & Race to criminally insane extremes, in overreaction to which academic authority went to the opposite, but equally insane extremes of denying the natural racial & ethnic foundations of nationhood altogether.

Also, because the Nazis manipulated & exploited German tribalism for their own evil purposes, academics blamed & demonised human tribalism itself, which was also madness, because an inherent & essential aspect of evolved human nature.

It wasn't just academics, of course, but they are central, because of their authority & the influence they have on society's political, media & other university-educated elites. Also strongly influencing this madness were Jews traumatised by Nazi persecution & the Holocaust.

I hasten to add that I am not blaming Jews. They were not responsible for the trauma they suffered. The Nazis were. But trauma can have very negative consequences, as it has done in the overreaction to the evils of Nazism I have already described.

What has happened - & is still happening - reveals the Orwellian nature of even the liberal-democratic state; at least, to me, & hopefully to an increasing number of academics as well, since they are the ones with the authority to correct their own mistakes.

In its extreme/pathological overreaction to the evils of Nazism, social science academia lost its way & has led western civilisation badly astray.

There can be no social or political progress until social science academia itself recognises this & sets about correcting it.

And without rapid & radical social & political progress, western civilisation is - like all civilisations before it - doomed.

I'm not going to be around that much longer, but so long as I am, I'm keen to help those academics, & others, who are up for this challenge.
