The more I thought about the Anderson Cooper/Scott Galloway interview the more pissed I got.
When religious colleges closed in droves we did have a crisis. Those people don't need college anyway.
When single sex colleges are closing or going coed, no issue

HBCUs were dying out and again no issue.
#singlesex and #HBCUs are the real world so we won't miss them
But now that Johnny Country Club might not have a college to go to, now we have a crisis of epic proportions!
Why? Why now?
Here is my theory.

Johnny County Club got to tier 2 college not really for a degree but to be free. His parents need him to sow his wild oats in a safe place. What sorts of things you ask?
Beat up homos, taunt POC, rape the women
What safer space than state college U?

We know frat boys are beating up homos without consequences.
We know frat boys attack, microagress, and macroaggress against POC without consequences.
We know frat boys are raping women without consequences.
Why no consequences?
Then more Johnny Country Clubs won't come.

Colleges have been hiding sins forever. Y'all college is like a free for all if you are in the Johnny Country Club demographic.

Now imagine Johnny doing that shit at home because POC and women take all of the spots as State U?

Now Johnny is raping the women at the country club.
Beating up his dad's boss's homo son.
Getting the shit kicked out of him on the wrong side of town because he got drunk/brave and decided to tell it like it is.
Mommy and Daddy now have an issue.

Now that Johnny has raped mommy's best friend's daughter, well mommy doesn't look good and Johnny might have to pay.
Now Johnny's dad might get fired.
Now Johnny has a broken nose.

See in college, Johnny just gets to be an asshat and make connections to other asshats.

Johnny Country Club needs to be joined to asshat Nation otherwise instead being a powerful elite college educated asshat, he is just a Bubba in a #MAGA hat.
The horror!
So that is why we must save 2nd rate PWIs. That is why now we have a crisis.

White middle/upper class Bubbas need a safe space.
Johnny Country Club needs his place to perpetuate misogyny, homophobia, racism, and other-isms.
Not just perpetuate but learn to use them to further himself.
Crisis in Higher Ed indeed.
