Well, I'm going to disagree because I know many One Nation Tories who are very decent people that care passionately about society ... but ... I more than understand the sentiment being expressed here ->

Sometimes as well, the cause of the problem is an arrogant belief that something is the right way, that their ideology is the "truth".
It's why I'm weary of people that wield power but lack humility. I consider them to be extremely dangerous.

And, that's my problem with Dominic. He is gifted, but there are many gifted people. However, Dominic is not as gifted as I think Dominic thinks he is or even worse, others tell him he is. This is why he is no Deng Xiaoping nor ever will be.
But, the problem for Boris can be explained by misquoting V -

However, Cummings should go. His arrogance is such that he has no place in Government and the public outcry is justified. Boris also should go. His defence is as inexcusable as the bungled preparation for covid-19 ... the Tories will need to do something to restore confidence.
