This is what local lockdown could mean if people download the government run NHS track and trace App and report others to contact tracing call handlers! How else do you think they will be able to zone in on housing estates, offices or places of leisure use. 
This is the next phase of the governments rollout of mass surveillance and is all set to operate without any independent scrutiny or formally documented procedures that protects the public from abuse of the powers assumed by the government and those acting in its behalf.
Whilst Cummings & Co are creating new ways to ensure our movements are recorded indefinitely on government computers and restricting our freedoms, those at the heart of government are setting double standards by allowing one law for the special one and another for the rest of us
Whilst Cummings is free to decide what is deemed ‘reasonable’ behaviour, the government is preparing to apply extreme restrictions at local level that will have huge repercussions for mental health and civil liberties in areas designated as at risk of higher infections.
The craziest part of this Machiavellian plot to deceive the public that it is being rolled out in our best interests is that it will depend for accuracy of use and mapping of local areas and neighbourhoods on technology and manual contact tracing that is highly error prone!
Many of us would be perfectly willing to cooperate with government in conducting track & tracing provided it has inbuilt checks to prevent government retaining our data. That is not the case.
The fact that our details will not remain on our phones is the stuff of Orwellian nightmares! The fact that we will have no control or say in who us looking at that data, their reasons and for how long are all reasonable concerns of any citizen.
The government must address those concerns before rolling out its own app and reconsider using the European approved app designed by Google-Apple that does retain our data on our phone.
Every member of the public also have a right to receive by post and direction to an online government website, the working directives or strict guidelines given to contact tracing call handlers in interviewing the public over the phone to ensure that calls are properly conducted!
That means that all calls made to members of the public are human rights compliant and carry clear penalties for call handlers who exceed their brief and modus operandi. This includes refraining from prompting for details of contacts that cannot be 100% confirmed!
Otherwise we will have a modern 21st century tech version of the 17th century Salem Witch trials as individuals are told to self-isolate on the basis of unreliable testing. (note PCR testing kits are only 80% reliable).
If enough people are deemed as having been sufficiently identified as potential disease carriers within a certain radius or neighbourhood that entire location will be put on localised lockdown.
Is that the type of society we aspire to that suspends our rights and freedoms on the basis of a phone call or downloaded app that are both flawed and dangerous in the wrong hands. We must have the proper safeguards in place before these instruments of state surveillance are used
