Last year when I interviewed @SpikeLeeJoint I was given a whopping 5 minutes so I asked where would American society be if every Black American family got 40 acres and a mule after emancipation?

Today that was would be worth ~ $5 Trillion

But back to the point I want to make...
America's foundation was rooted in
a) French Enlightment,
b) rejecting British monarchy,
c) but its bedrock is Slavery (aka ownership in all that entails).
So sure, while...
Pre-civil war, whites owned black people FFS! But post-Emancipation, Black Americans were never given a fair shake... and for generations, ownership has eluded blacks, compounding the gap.
but don't just hire Black partners.
Invest in Black entrepreneurs and Black-OWNED businesses...
but dont just use Black talent to line up your white owners' pockets, create path for more Black OWNERS.
(& yes that means Black coaches, GMs, Presidents).
You cant call it Affirmative Action when it's the talent!
but dont just hire Black creatives, advertise with Black-owned media companies (& not just units of White-owned media companies' brands serving Black community, such as @ViacomCBS 's @BET). I mean da original BETs!
