[Thread] 1/ Add this to the list of suspicious Arabic accounts that have suddenly become pro-Newcastle United and supportive of the takeover by Saudi's PIF. Account stinks of PR. It smears the media, using the term 'hostile media' and seems to lionize MBS #NUFCTakeover 
2/ In terms of tasteless behaviour, the account laughs at the letter by the fiance of the murdered Jamal Khashoggi (classy). Odd that the account is so into MBS, while many try to justify the takeover saying it is the PIF - and not MBS, who is involved. Suggest
3/ that #NUFCTakeover is as much about sportwashing and burnishing the reputation of MBS as it is about PIF acquiring the club. But how do we know it's suspicious. Read on >
4/ Well the account was opened in January 2017. It's first tweet was April 2 2020 - see screenshot. However, if we look at accounts who tweeted to this account in October 2017, we find some accounts tweeting at in June 2017. But they aren't tweeting about Newcastle...
5/ They are tweeting about pharmacy advice > There's people asking about migraines, cancer and Parkinson. One can only assume that the account used to be a pharmacist or medical professional. These tweets were replies but of course the original tweets have been deleted... #NUFC
6/ So I asked the account who ran it. They were evasive, but said it was a number of people from different countries. Which was kind of odd. Then I asked for the former name of the account, he said 'Jibrati', who was an old football player from Jedda, I said " I didn't know"
7/ Jibrati was a pharmacist. He laughed and called me Conan AlQafidh - who was a detective in a cartoon series. I can only assume he felt he was busted. Anyway, whoever runs it, hasn't really tweeted since our interaction. Weird...#NUFCTakover
