Ok so - lot of questions from folks who took @nateliason's Roam course

Can't apply coupons to 5 year plan in stripe- so we're just gonna upload a list of everyone who bought the course - if your email is on that list, 5 year plan is $400

5 years is plenty time to finish course
For everyone who wants the $100 in credits applied to monthly or annual plan - we'll send you a form this week where you can upload screenshots showing you finished course and applied the lessons - everyone who did will get $100 coupon sent to their email next week
Since monthly and annual has 14 day trial, and coupon can get applied whenever via stripe - little less urgency

If you didn't finish course already, but want the credits applied to annual or monthly just finish it and fill in the form we send you by end of this weekend.

One of our largest blockers to opening the waitlist has been my inability to create a decent pricing page that shows our features and explains their benefits.

Obviously as CEO I SHOULD be most qualified to do this, but keep seeing the #roamcult do a better job.
I've seen a bunch of cool redesigns of our landing page from the community...

A part of me really wants to do something with this like we did with themes.

Open it up to our userbase, showcase the different landing pages that users have designed

But something feels off about it
On one hand - crowdsourcing always seems like best way to maximize equality of opportunity - open the door for undiscovered talent to show off, make a name for themselves and get their foot in the door.

Also definitely feels like obviously the best way for us to get best work.

This is pretty wild.

Haven't ever heard of a SaaS company offering 5 year plan before, and in just over a day almost 900 folks have said they would buy it - many saying its a no-brainer.

Vision has always been to be accountable to community > VCs.

#roamcult will make reality.
Had a call with a world class fund today (great call too! Not throwing shade!), where a partner gave a LOT of pushback to 5 year plan.

"You're giving steepest discount to the most committed users... lot of lost revenue... why not just open up your round now?"

Good Question.
Tactical reasons - control our own destiny, not be at whim of finacial markets or VC timelines.

Larger reason is faith though

Paying 5 years up front is huge signal of faith in the company & product vision. No interest in playing $ opt game with user's financing Roam's future
