#PMCARES, a fund set up specifically to cater to public health emergencies like #COVID19, has started making a difference, like all PM Modi initiatives, in the real world.

Several questions were initially raised by usual lobby of "oppose anything new and good". Some facts. 1/10

Q) Why separate fund when PMNRF already existed?

A) PMNRF usage evolved into primarily helping individuals/families in distress due to natural calamity etc. No provision in PMNRF to handle in an organised way situations like that posed by #COVID19.

#PMCARES plugs that gap.2/10

Q) How exactly is #PMCARES different from PMNRF?

A) PM CARES supports relief or assistance to a public health emergency by upgradation of healthcare or pharmaceutical facilities, other infrastructure, funding relevant research etc.

These are not covered under PMNRF. 3/10

Q) How else is #PMCARES different from PMNRF?

A) Board of PMNRF - PM, President of Congress party, Representative of private industries.

Board of PM CARES: PM, FM, HM RM - all ex-officio members.

It is called PM National Relief Fund but board has Congress President. Why? 4/10

The scandal just did not stop at the constitution of board of PMNRF.

Do you know who the auditors of PMNRF, appointed under Congress, were - Ms. Thakur, Vaidyanath Aiyar & Company,

Founder of this firm, Rameshwar Thakur, was a lifelong committed Congress politician. 5/10

Imagine what PMNRF, created under Congress, was up to:

Board - Lifelong membership to Congress President (presently Sonia Gandhi)

Auditor: Lifelong Congress politician (Rameshwar Thakur).

Thus the noise now by Sonia Gandhi establishment as this cozy set up is changed. 6/10

When the opportunity, as provisioned under Companies Act, came to change the auditors of PMNRF, the Modi government did it at end of FY 2017-18 and appointed M/s SARC & Associates as auditors of PMNRF.

SAME FIRM IS NOW APPOINTED TO AUDIT #PMCARES as well. 7/10

M/s SARC & Associates has been auditing PMNRF since FY 2018-19. It will now audit #PMCARES as well.

A particularly rancid Sonia Gandhi supporter has released some pictures of Sunil Gupta of M/s SARC to say they linked with BJP. Here are some more pictures.Make up your mind. 8/10

In summary:
1) PMNRF not for COVID like situations. #PMCARES plugs the gap
2) PMNRF board has Sonia Gandhi. PM CARES has no party politician
3) PMNRF audited by Congress politician. That scandal stopped
4) PM CARES auditor a professional (knows both Congress and BJP people). 9/10

Finally, how is #PMCARES being used?

1) Rs.2,000 Cr to procure 50,000 'Made in India' ventilators
2) Rs.1,000 Cr for migrants welfare
3) Rs.100 Cr for vaccine development

As per this study, only 47,000 ventilators exist as of today. PM CARES will add 50,000 in one go ! 10/10
