Nimrod Rappoport explains MONET (#Multiomic patient module detection by omic selection) at #RECOMB #CCB. Key idea: subgroups are not always the same across omics. "Consensus clustering across omics" - I think of it as a next step after SNF. Preprint: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Example: nodes=patients, links = weights (positive=similar, negative=dissimilar). Very interesting implementation starting from nearest neighbours and then doing iterative improvement trying various modifications of modules. Also can be applied to gene networks.

Also a very smooth transition to the following talk (on PAMOGK, biorxiv.org/content/10.110…) which used the benchmark of the previous speaker (academic.oup.com/nar/article/46…) to compare their new algorithm against the results of previous methods - just perfect :) #recombccb2020 @recomb2020
