#1 Persistence is the Most Important Thing

Most people shouldn't even attempt because they will just give up.

Pomp built his digital assets sequentially - Twitter, then newsletter, then podcast then YT over YEARS.

He credits his success to being a Content generating machine

Growing Digital Assets takes time.

Pomp started in 2017 and he's been creating content daily for 3 straight years.

It's a long and frustrating experience and there will be many days where you want to give up due to slow growth.

If you can't be persistent you will fail

# 2 Productize Yourself

Pomp sees his content as Assets.

Each piece of content is an Asset that he can scale.

He optimises his daily schedule around this.

* Low frequency, high quality content
* High frequency, good enough content (Pomp's way)

# 3 Focus on One Platform at a time

Don't try and do it all at once.

Pomp built his Twitter for 18 months before he launched his Newsletter.

Get really great at creating content on one platform before you move on to the next.

2 Benefits to this approach :

1) Focus - It's easier to be a Master at creating content for one specific platform when you give 100% Fous

2) Once a platform is built up, it accelerates the growth of the next platform (Eg having 10k followers on Twitter makes it easier to build a 1k email list)

#4 More content is better than less

"If you just overwhelm the algorithm, you WILL grow."

If you have no content ideas, start by being a curator with reviews/commentary on other ppl's content

Give your audience choice by creating TOO MUCH content and let them choose.

#5 Create once publish 5 times

Eg Write 1 tweet and post tweet on Instagram

Goal here is to streamline your content production

Expand the use of your content on multiple platforms

An example of how you can create once publish 5 x from @david_perell :

3 - do a youtube video of you explaining how you wrote the blog post
4 - write a tweetstorm highlighting key points of blog post

#6 You owe the audience everything

Very few ppl are willing to spend hours of their day engaging with strangers on the internet.

Responding to random ppl with comments, emojis...

and well thought-out answers seems frivolous but it signals to your audience that they are important to you.

This approach will cause your audience to get emotionally attached to your content

Take care of your audience and they will take care of you
