Ironically, the person who best refutes Fischer's drug fairytale is none other than Anthony Pellicano. In December of 1993 Pellicano described Jordie's behavior at the August 4 Westwood Marquis meeting as follows: 1/
The father began to read the psychiatrists letter, which cited the criminal statutes that applied to child abuse. "Jordie was looking down," [Pellicano said] "and he pops his head up and looks at Michael like, 'I didn't say that.'" 2/
According to Pellicano, just two weeks after the alleged brainwashing Jordie wasn't brainwashed at all! He was acting embarrassed and guilty about the accusations his father had made. 3/
The history of why Sodium-Amytal was used to debunk Jordan Chandler's testimony is also very interesting. And very disturbing. The 'sodium-amytal' defense is in line with the 'pseudo-scientific' notion that false memories can be created, 4/
where a subject starts believing that the current trauma that is experienced is because of a false manner of remembering (this because of drugs, or dubious therapies, etc...) and not because of real events in the past. 5/
(I say pseudo-scientific, because although it there was real science on how memory works, the false memory effect turns out to have been gravely exaggerated. (eg Loftus) False Memory Syndrome does not even exist. Dissociative Identity Disorders do exist... 6/
Dissociative Identity Disorders do exist... eg amnesia of abuse, change in personality, etc... with a scientific basis.) It is a strategy that was used by members of the False Memory Syndrome Foundation to help acquit alleged perpetrators of (child) sexual abuse. 7/
(often of an incestuous nature: Mary Fisher talks about the Ramona case... it is the first case a man walked free because they made the jury doubt the testimony of the daughter, because she was said to have been under the influence of the drug. 8/
Both mother and daughter stand by their statements that the father raped the daughter numerous times during childhoos, yet the father won the case.) 9/
They paint a picture of bad and dubious therapists who implant false memories in their patients. (The amnesia, that is experienced by kids who were raped by family members, is real however and there is a scientific basis for it. 10/
That amnesia can dissolve in later life or past traumatic events can suddenly be remembered. There was a war going on whether these were memories of real events or false memories entirely made up. Imho the truth lies in the middle.) 11/
More than a scientific group, the FMSF seems to have been a lobby group for the defense of alleged perpetrators of child sexual abuse. They changed the narrative of events, eg downplayed actual evidence and exaggerated the dubiousness of memory. 12/
To learn more about stuff like this, you should read The Witch Hunt Narrative by Oxford professor Ross E Cheit. Mary Fisher also wrote on the McMartin trials and the Satanic Panic of the ‘80s. Although there was evidence of abuse, other than the children’s testimony, namely 13/
medical evidence of child rape, the defendants walked away free. blogs.brown.edu/recoveredmemor…amazon.com/Witch-Hunt-Nar…nytimes.com/2014/06/10/sci…… (Also remember that Jackson's team also tried to use the "false memory" defense against Chandler) 14/
August Piper was the scientist that debunked the use as Sodium-Amytal as a truth serum. People who are under the influence of Sodium-Amytal cannot be believed. Piper was also a member of the FMSF. 15/
It is probably true that testimony gotten on the basis of Sodium-Amytal should not be used in court. But I have grave doubts about the drugs' ability to create life changing false memories of trauma that did not occur. 16/
I think a lot of these scientists were biased against the victims and some of them even made dubious statements not based on science at all. (cfr Anna Salter on Underwager) I suggest reading this article news.isst-d.org/the-rise-and-f… 17/
The fact someone tried to infuse Sodium-Amytal into the Chandler story is to make it more unbelievable, because it worked at approx. the same time in the Ramona case, where the drug had positively been used. 18/
It would muzzle Jordan Chandler, because his testimony would no longer be believed in a courtroom. (You have to believe then that false memories can be created by the drug that cause severe trauma, certainly in case of the Ramona girl.) 19/
The link between Chandler and Sodium-Amytal was presumably first made on a television interview by Harry Levin, the TMZ-guy. I never saw footage of it. Ray Chandler also was aware of it. 20/

Aphrodite Jones, "unveils" the trial of Michael Jackson, in his book "The conspiracy Michael Jackson" . The preface to the book was written by Thomas Mesereau, a lawyer who defended the King Of Pop in his 2005 trial.

How was this book born? from a meeting with William Wagener?

Wagener is, according to him, a rare journalist having attended all the hearings of the trial, he gave regular reports in a program that he hosted, in the evening, on a local television channel. Image
After the verdict of not guilty on June 13, 2005, Wagener would have approached the big reporters to give them the recordings of its emissions. But the latter did not deign to relay his information to the general public.

In 1996, when Evan Chandler sued Jackson for violating the terms of confidentiality of their settlement, a transcript was revealed. They were telephone conversations secretly recorded by Jordan Chandler's stepfather, Dave Schwartz, in 1993,
1/
at the request of Anthony Pellicano, Jackson's private investigator. Parts of this conversation, taken out of context, are often used by fans to "prove" that Evan Chandler "extorted" Michael Jackson.
